The Dreamcast development kit (Katana) from ToeJam & Earl Productions, Inc

This page invites you to explore the development files from ToeJam & Earl Productions, which contain data related to the Unreleased Dreamcast version of ToeJam & Earl III: Mission to Earth and its prototype. It is an appendix to [Dreamcast Development Kits (Katana) to Download], which lists the available Dreamcast (Katana) development kits on the site.

The history of ToeJam & Earl Productions, Inc. begins in 1989, when Greg Johnson and Mark Voorsanger, then working at Electronic Arts, decided to found their own development studio (initially Johnson Voorsanger Productions). Their first game, published by SEGA, ToeJam & Earl (1991), was released on the Mega Drive/Genesis. The company closed in 2003 due to sales of ToeJam & Earl III on Xbox being deemed disappointing.

In 2013, Zakhooi purchased a Katana Development Kit on eBay. He discovered an Unreleased version of ToeJam & Earl for Dreamcast on it, which he promptly made available to Dreamcast enthusiasts. Today, as part of a preservation effort, he is finally sharing the hard drive image from his Development Kit.

Regarding ToeJam & Earl III for Dreamcast: A working prototype of the game by ToeJam & Earl Productions and Visual Concepts exists. It is available in both GD-I and CD-I formats.
