Artworks are works of artistic creation designed to enhance a product such as a film, video game, music album or other product. It involves graphic design, illustration and packaging design, in this case the covers of a CD or video game, or even the cover of a book.
In the video game industry, Artworks are also used during the initial development phase of a video game. These are illustrative drawings that help to imagine the atmosphere of the game, and the appearance of characters and locations.
Once the artworks have been approved by the development studio, the drawings are put into volume and then textured to appear on screen.
This page dedicated to Artworks lists those that developers have kindly shared with the Sega Dreamcast Info site or those found in Game Design documents. These illustrations are never published before.
